The Catholic Church in the world
Catholic Churches in full communion with the Bishop of Rome - the successor of Saint Peter

Kościół PowszechnyThe Catholic Church in the world

Catholicism, understood as a religious doctrine, with the Holy Roman Church as its pillar, is heterogeneous and has never constituted a single whole, considering the various rites it incorporates which are obviously different from each other. They are deeply rooted in ideological foundations specific to them. These rites, strongly influenced by social factors, determine the specificity of customs, the nature of tradition, morality, and a different setting of the liturgical ceremonies, ecclesiology and the internal organizational structure of the church. All these elements combined together determine the shape and form of rites, creating the typical characteristics of each one.1
